These activities are automatically covered across all Freely plans at no extra cost. If it's on the list below, you're good to go. Just keep it recreational and take reasonable care out there.
The activities below aren't covered as standard, but that doesn't mean you can't do them. Simply add our Adventure Activities Trip Extra before you go - or during your trip (before you participate in the activity!) via the Freely app. Last minute triathlon, anyone?

Freely covers over 75 activities as standard across all three plans, including: surfing, snorkelling, bungee jumping, jet skiing, abseiling, golf, kayaking and rafting (white water grades 1–3), hot air ballooning (as a passenger), horse riding, glacier hiking on organised tours, scuba diving to 30 metres, and a broad list of amateur sports. Some higher-risk activities require the Adventure Activities Trip Extra.
Some higher-risk activities require the Adventure Activities Trip Extra to be added. These include: scuba diving between 30 and 50 metres; skydiving and parachuting; rock climbing above 2,000 metres; trekking above 3,000 metres (including Everest Base Camp on fully organised tours); via ferrata; iceclimbing; canoeing and kayaking in white water grades 4–5;polo; horse jumping; and triathlon. An extra premium applies.
Yes. Bungee jumping sits in the list of activities automatically included under a Freely policy, so no additional Trip Extra is required for the activity itself. General policy terms still apply, including the standard exclusions for participation in a professional capacity, racing and being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. You need to add our Adventure Activities Trip Extra at an additional cost to the base policy for all the days you’re planning to skydive. (Our plans do not automatically cover skydiving.)
Our Adventure Activities Trip Extra also provides cover for parachuting.

Yes. Paragliding sits in the list of activities automatically included under a Freely policy. Paragliding is treated separately from hang gliding, which isn't covered regardless of any Trip Extras added. If you're not sure which activity your operator runs, it's worth confirming with them before you book. Full details are set out in the PDS.

Standard Freely cover includes hiking and trekking below 3,000 metres. Trekking between 3,000 and 6,000 metres above sea level requires the Adventure Activities Trip Extra (for treks that don’t require specialist climbing equipment and take more than two days to complete). An additional premium applies for Trip Extras. Check the PDS for full conditions and exclusions.
Among other things, we don’t cover claims related to government travel bans, “Do not travel” warnings, activitiesexcluded under the policy, or incidents that occur while you’re drunk or intoxicated. Refer to the PDS for full details, limits and exclusions.
