It’s important to find a policy with pregnancy cover that suits the needs of you and your unborn child. Freely offers some expectant birthing parents cover for part of their pregnancy provided certain conditions are met.
If you have a healthy pregnancy, the best time to travel tends to be during your second trimester – which is when the risk of complications is lowest. Maybe you’re hitting the road to visit relatives or going on a babymoon before you give birth. Whatever your reason for travelling, growing a tiny human adds another layer of concern to your trip – so read on to see if Freely can meet your specific needs.
Freely provides coverage for unexpected serious pregnancy complications up until 23 weeks and 6 days.
Our coverage only applies to single pregnancies i.e. not twins, triplets or anything more.
No cover is available if the pregnancy was medically assisted by fertility treatments such as hormone therapies or IVF. No cover is available where complications of this pregnancy or any previous pregnancy had occurred prior to the time the policy was issued.
Childbirth is not covered. Costs relating to the health or care of a newborn child are not covered, irrespective of the stage of pregnancy when the child is born. There’s a lot of detail to unpack in the above, so refer to and read the Combined FSG/PDS for more information. To learn about the Target Market for this product, you can read our TMD.
