On the 29th of August 2023 my wife had a serious accident on a cruise ship, she had to be evacuated back to Brisbane. Without Freely insurance we would have had to sell our home to pay the cost of evacuation.
Competitive premium with an option to insure higher risk activities only for the days you need it at a low price. I needed cover for high altitude hiking and Freely were one of the few that covered me at a reasonable price. The real test is if you need to make a claim. I did need to make a claim due to travel delays and costs incurred after being trapped in a flood. Freely responded within minutes on their live chat when I first contacted them and provided advice and offered support. I put the claim in when I got home and they approved the claim in just over a week with no hassles. Highly recommend and will use them again next time I travel.

Loved freely, easy to access with the app, had questions that were quickly answered through the instant messaging, can add things on daily basis so if you decide to do something last minute you can add it if needed and your covered will definitely use again and recommend.
Travelled to Japan not realising it was their monsoon season and whilst I didn't go to places where a category 4 typhoon was hitting, Freely kept me up-to-date throughout each day on the impact of the typhoons destruction and impact on infrastructure throughout Japan and areas to avoid. I really appreciated this information as it not only kept me safe but it was the only up-to-date information in English I received given all media advice was in Japanese. Thanks Freely.
Ended up with food poisoning on one of my MANY trips to Thailand (January) ending up in hospital. Left the terribly efficient Bangkok Phuket Hospital in Phuket after many tests and a heap of paperwork and medication (no overnight stay). For the first time in a number of years I made a claim on my Freely travel insurance. I was dreading a to and fro of requests from them requiring further information. Not so. They were so quick at reviewing and approving my claim. Will be using again in November this year.

We have used Freely on many occasions, unfortunately we had to make a claim and reschedule a flight and hotel due to a medical emergency 3 weeks before we were due to travel. Freely we absolutely fantastic they covered us all for the extra expenses to reschedule.

They had their own nurse available on call, who suggested I take her to hospital. Once completed I was able to make a claim and Freely covered the cost of cancelled accommodation, medical costs, cost for new accommodation and alternative cost again. I can't recommend enough. Freely insurance will be a must for all future trips.

Wow, I am so impressed by this whole process. Most of the time it is such a hassle buying travel insurance and very confusing. This was so easy to navigate and understand, plus it was heaps cheaper than I planned on it being. Also loved using the promo code to support local environmental conservation efforts. Finally, insurance I don't completely despise.

Quickest insurance application EVER. I’ve used Freely twice now and I’m so impressed with the app and the ease of applying for insurance. Haven’t had to claim yet (thankfully!), but will keep using them as it literally takes less than 5 minutes to buy travel insurance!
