Residents of the United States who are traveling internationally or within the United States can purchase our Essentials Plan.
Except for residents of Australia, we don’t have products available for non-U.S. residents, but we are working hard to increase our global footprint.
Currently, the Freely app is only available on iOS (5S and up) & Android (7.0 and up).
Our Essentials Plan can provide coverage if you, a traveling companion, family member or business partner tests positive, or are diagnosed by a physician, for COVID-19 before or during your trip, including emergency medical costs and medical evacuation.
If you purchase the Pre-Trip Cancellation Trip Extra on top of your Essentials Plan, there may be coverage (subject to the terms of the policy) for trip cancellation if you or a traveling companion test positive for COVID-19 and must physically quarantine as a result, as certified by a physician. The Extra can also provide some coverage if a non-traveling family member or a business partner is diagnosed.
Our Essentials Plan provides coverage for medical expenses incurred while treating COVID-19 and emergency evacuation if medically necessary. The emergency evacuation must be medically necessary, physician certified and arranged by Zurich Travel Assist.

Freely has teamed up with Zurich Travel Assist, which is a team of highly-qualified emergency assistance specialists that are dedicated to helping you, if and when you need them. This team carefully monitors events across the globe, keeping an eye on things like COVID-19 outbreaks, natural disasters, civil unrest, and any other events that could cause trouble for our travelers. If you've given Freely Location Permissions, we'll pro-actively reach out to you if an event occurs near you.

Freely uses the location and motion sensors on your phone to keep an eye on you. It sounds creepy, but we promise you it's not!
Our emergency assistance specialists carefully monitor events across the globe, keeping an eye on things like COVID-19 outbreaks, natural disasters, civil unrest, and any other events that could impact your trip. If something like this pops up, we can quickly alert you to what's going on and how to best deal with it. Of course, to do all this, we need to know where you are!

You can make secure payments within your Freely App using Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and AMEX. We use a third-party payment processor for all transactions and don't store any of your card details on our systems. We're looking to offer additional payment methods in the future to give you more flexibility, so stay tuned!
